Terms of Service

Effective 1 September 2026 · Previous version: 11 August 2026

This is the agreement between you and idb. It is written to be read, not to be survived — where a clause exists to protect us, it says so, and where the law gives you a right we cannot contract away, it says that too.

The short version

  • idb is in private beta. Access is by invitation and the feature set is not frozen.
  • Nothing renews automatically. Every purchase is a single charge; a plan is a pass that simply expires.
  • You own what you upload and everything idb makes from it. We will never use it to advertise idb or to train models.
  • If a job fails on our side, the credits it used come back automatically.
  • Seven days to change your mind about a purchase, under art. 49 of the Consumer Code.

Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using idb, you accept these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree with something here, do not use the service — and if you would like us to reconsider it, write to hello@idobetter.io; we read those.

What idb is, and who runs it

idb ("idobetter") is a media production tool and a Pisoms product, operated from Brazil. It ingests long-form video you provide and produces short clips, transcripts, summaries, narrated videos and publishing metadata, with a full editor built in. It can publish results to a YouTube channel you connect.

Contact for anything at all: hello@idobetter.io.

Beta

idb is in private beta: access is by invitation, features are added, changed and withdrawn, and results improve as the engine does. Being in beta does not reduce your consumer rights and does not make a purchase any less binding on us. It means the feature set is not frozen — nothing more.

Who may use idb

  • You must be 18 or older, or 16 or 17 with the assistance of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms together with you. Nobody under 16 may use idb.
  • An account is personal. Do not share your credentials; everything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • If you sign up on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" in these terms means that organisation.
  • During the beta, access is by invitation, and we may decline or withdraw it.

Your account

Give us accurate information and keep it current. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at hello@idobetter.io as soon as you suspect someone else has reached your account.

You sign in with Google; we never see or store your Google password. We access the content of your account only where it is strictly necessary to diagnose a failure you reported, to investigate a security problem, or where the law requires it.

Credits, plans and payment

5.1 How the meter works

Credits are the unit idb charges in. What a job costs depends on how long the source is and how much is produced from it, and the cost is shown before you run it. Credits are a service allowance: they are not money, not a stored-value instrument, not transferable between accounts, and they carry no cash value.

5.2 Plans are passes — nothing renews automatically

We want this unambiguous, because the industry norm is the opposite. idb does not store a payment method for recurring billing and never charges you automatically.

A plan is a pass: it grants credits and unlocks features for a fixed period — 30 days, or 12 months. When the period ends, the plan simply expires. There is no renewal charge, no cancellation to remember, and no subscription to hunt through settings for. To carry on, you buy again.

5.3 Prices and buying

Prices, credit amounts and plan periods are shown in the app at the moment of purchase, in Brazilian reais (R$), and that display governs your purchase. We may change prices at any time; a change never affects a purchase already made or a pass already running.

Payments are handled by Stripe (card) and AbacatePay (PIX). Checkout happens on their pages under their own terms, and your card number never reaches us.

5.4 What expires and what does not

Unspent credits stay in your balance for as long as your account is open. What expires with a pass is the plan — the formats it unlocks, how many projects you can run at once, and the maximum source length. When a pass ends you keep your remaining credits and return to the entry tier's limits.

5.5 If a job fails

If a job fails because of a fault on our side, the credits it consumed are returned to your balance automatically — you do not need to ask. A job that completes but produces a result you simply do not like is not a failure; re-running it costs credits again, where your plan allows re-runs.

5.6 Refunds and your right to change your mind

Under art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Code, you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of making it:

  • credits untouched — full refund;
  • credits partly used — we refund the unused portion;
  • a plan pass partly used — we refund pro rata for the days remaining, less credits already spent.

Refunds are returned by the same rail you paid on. Write to hello@idobetter.io with the order and we will handle it. After 7 days, credits and passes are non-refundable, except where section 5.5 applies or the law requires otherwise.

5.7 Taxes

Prices are quoted in reais and include the taxes applicable in Brazil. If you buy from outside Brazil, any tax, duty, currency conversion or bank charge on your side is yours to bear.

Your content

6.1 You own it

You keep ownership of everything you submit and of everything idb generates from it — clips, transcripts, summaries, scripts, renders. We claim no ownership of any of it.

6.2 The licence you give us, and its limits

To do the work you asked for, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit, transcode, analyse, modify and display your content strictly to operate idb for you — including passing it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy that perform the processing.

The limits are the point, so plainly: this licence is not perpetual and not sublicensable beyond those providers. It ends when you delete the content or your account. We will not use your content to promote idb, to train AI models, or for any purpose other than delivering the service to you, unless you give us separate, specific permission in writing.

6.3 What you promise about it

You confirm that you hold the rights to everything you submit and to publish the results, and that doing so breaks no law and no one else's rights. You are responsible for what you publish and for the rules of whatever platform you publish it to.

6.4 Removing content

Delete a project at any time; that removes its stored media and the files generated from it. We may remove content or refuse a job that breaches these terms or the law, and we will tell you when we do, unless we are legally barred from saying so.

Acceptable use

You may not use idb to:

  • infringe copyright, trademark, image rights, privacy or any other right;
  • process content you have no right to process;
  • create or publish a depiction of a real person's face or voice without their authorisation — including deepfakes, synthetic endorsements and fabricated statements;
  • produce sexual content, any content involving minors, content inciting hatred or violence, or depictions of real cruelty;
  • present synthetic material as authentic footage of real events;
  • run fraud, phishing, spam, pyramid or multi-level schemes, or get-rich-quick offers;
  • break the law, or the published rules of a platform you publish to;
  • probe, scrape, reverse-engineer or decompile idb, work around its limits or metering, or extract its models, prompts or pipeline;
  • use idb's output to train, fine-tune or benchmark a competing model or service;
  • resell or sublicense idb's capacity, or use one account for a wider group than it was issued to;
  • interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or anyone else's access to it.

Breaking these is grounds for pausing or closing an account under section 13. Where content is plainly illegal, we may be obliged to report it.

Connecting a YouTube channel

Connecting a channel authorises idb to upload videos and captions to it on your behalf, and to read the channel's name so the app can show which one is connected. idb can act only on videos it published for you — it does not touch anything else on your channel, and it does not read your existing videos, analytics or subscribers.

By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. You remain solely responsible for what appears on your channel and for complying with YouTube's policies. Disconnect at any time in the app, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. How the stored token is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

idb suggests captions and hashtags written for TikTok and Instagram, but it does not connect to those platforms and cannot post to them.

AI output, and what it is not

idb selects moments, writes text and renders video using machine-learning models. That has consequences you should hold in mind:

  • transcripts contain errors, and clip boundaries are judgements rather than facts;
  • generated titles, descriptions, captions and scripts can be wrong, and must be checked before you publish them;
  • the same input can produce a different result on a different run;
  • nothing idb generates is advice of any kind — legal, medical, financial or otherwise.

You are the editor. Review what idb makes before it goes out under your name. When idb publishes a generated video for you, it is labelled as AI-made in its description.

Our intellectual property

idb — the software, the pipeline, the models and prompts, the interface, the name and the marks — belongs to us or to our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service as it is offered, and nothing else. "idb", "idobetter" and "Pisoms" may not be used without our written permission.

Availability, and changes to the service

We work to keep idb running, but we do not promise a particular level of uptime. Maintenance may interrupt it, and in beta features may change or be withdrawn. Where a removal is material and we can foresee it, we give notice.

If we withdraw a feature you paid for while your pass is still running, tell us and we will settle it fairly — a refund or a credit, your choice.

Suspension and closure

You can stop using idb whenever you like and ask us to delete your account — the Privacy Policy explains what happens when you do.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally obliged to close, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where circumstances allow, we warn you first and give you the chance to retrieve your content.

Sections that should outlive the account do: payment obligations already incurred, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.

Disclaimers

Except for what the law requires of us and does not let us exclude, idb is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a given result will suit a particular purpose, or that a clip will perform on any platform.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Brazilian Consumer Code (Lei 8.078/1990) or under any other mandatory law. Where a clause here conflicts with one of those rights, that right wins and the rest of these terms stand.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss — lost profit, lost audience, lost data, business interruption — and our total liability for any claim connected with idb is capped at the greater of R$ 100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

That cap does not apply where the law forbids it. Our liability to a consumer under the Consumer Code, for fraud or wilful misconduct, and for anything else that cannot be limited by contract, is unaffected.

Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because of content you submitted or published through idb, or because you breached these terms, you will cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it. We will tell you promptly, will not settle without consulting you, and you may take part in the defence. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from something we did wrong.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version always lives at idobetter.io/terms with its effective date. Material changes are announced in the app or by email at least 15 days before they apply to you; continuing to use idb after that means you accept them. If you would rather not, stop using idb and ask us for a refund of anything unused and unexpired.

Governing law, and where disputes go

These terms are governed by the law of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the court of your own domicile — art. 101, I of the Consumer Code — and nothing here elects a different venue against you. We deliberately do not include a foro de eleição clause. For business users, disputes go to the courts of the place from which idb is operated.

Before any of that, please write to hello@idobetter.io — nearly everything resolves there. In Brazil you can also use consumidor.gov.br or your local Procon.
